BOWI

The implementation of a tactile guidance route in the ViveBús stations of the city of Chihuahua, Chihuahua, responds to the commitment to the principles of universal accessibility and inclusion, guaranteeing the right to safe and autonomous mobility for all individuals. Executed between August and October of the year 2025, this tactile guidance and warning system allows visually impaired individuals to identify routes, access points, boarding areas, and potential risks within the stations, improving spatial orientation and reducing physical barriers. The intervention aligns with universal design criteria, promoting more equitable, safe, and functional public transportation spaces for the diverse users who utilize the system daily.

The technical description of the material used is a polysynthetic rubber mat in its advance and warning variant, with a traffic yellow color and dimensions of 30cm x 30cm x 5mm in thickness.
