Bodega Aurrerá
The implementation of tactile flooring in Bodega Aurrerá stores nationwide responds to the need to strengthen the principles of universal accessibility and inclusion in high-traffic commercial spaces. This tactile signage system facilitates the orientation and safe movement of individuals with visual impairments, allowing them to identify access points, main circulation areas, service areas, and risk points within the establishment. The intervention contributes to the elimination of physical barriers, promoting more equitable, safe, and functional commercial environments, aligned with universal design criteria and a vision of social inclusion for all users.
These projects were developed with a dual configuration regarding the materials of the tactile path, as polymer concrete tiles were installed outdoors, while guides and TPU buttons were chosen for the interior.
